• Sehwag International School celebrated its third Annual Day
• Chief Guest of the occasion, Virender Sehwag’s Coach
“Dream is not what you see in your sleep, but dream is something that does not let you sleep. To be successful in any field, hard work and dedication are required, which ultimately take us towards our goal.”
These words were enunciated by Mr. A N Sharma, coach of the illustrious, attacking batsman of our Indian cricket team, Mr. Virender Sehwag.
The third Annual Day at Sehwag International School was celebrated as ‘Spardha 2013- Annual Sports Day’ with great pomp and show. Mr. A N Sharma was the distinguished Chief Guest on this occasion.
After inauguration of the function, there was an inspection of the March Past of the four houses by the Chief Guest followed with ‘Fun Races’, which were organized for classes KG to 4. These races left the audience spell bound and they thoroughly enjoyed them. The students of classes 5 to 9 participated in 100 and 200 meter races. It was followed by relay races for classes 6 to 9, and the audience not only enjoyed the races but also encouraged the athletes. The juniors of classes 3 to 5 stole the show with their mesmerizing performance of Aerobics.
Students from the boarding house conveyed the message of ‘Karo Yog Raho Nirog’ with their dexterity in various yoga exercises/asanas. A ‘Tug of War’ was organized for the parents (male category) who attended the function. Another interesting program was ‘Aisey-Kaise’, organized for the female parents attending the function. Both the competitions were enjoyed by the parents. The Chief Guest conferred medals and trophies to the winners of different races and competitions. Finally the show came to an end with a ‘Vote of Thanks’ and encouraging words by Mr. Dhirender Singh, Principal of the school. Overall, an enthralling and grand performance was put up by the students on the Annual Sports Day.
